Red Sea and Suez Canal update effective from 7th January

At Freight Systems, we believe in keeping our clients up to date on any changes that may affect our services. We would like to update you on the prevailing circumstances in the Red Sea, leading to revisions in our surcharge structure.

The operational landscape for carriers in the Red Sea/Suez area remains dynamic, influencing the services and routing options available to carriers. In response to the heightened costs incurred, we have implemented GRIs and Operational Cost Recovery Surcharges effective from January 7th, 2024.

EASTBOUND Surcharges

from the carriers. We committed to work closely with the carriers and mitigate these costs where we can. The situation has changed over the last week and as such please find attached revisions to these charges, as well as some additions, effective for sailings from January 8th, 2024.
