Streamlining International Logistics for Plastic Pipe Manufacturer

Table of content

Overview:

Client: Leading Plastic Pipe Manufacturer

Shipment: 20 Tons of Plastic Pipes

Route: Ahmedabad to Doha via Qatar Airways

Mode: Air Freight

The Challenge:

A customer in Doha needed to transport a shipment for their Oil & Gas client. Initially, the shipment was planned via FCL (Full Container Load) mode, and timely delivery was critical due to a cancellation clause imposed by the end customer. To mitigate potential disruptions in sea transit, it was decided to airlift this over-dimensional cargo. The client sought a logistics partner who could provide a cost-effective, efficient solution, ensuring both on-time delivery and the safety of their goods throughout the journey.

Freight Systems Solution:

At Freight Systems, we leveraged our extensive network and industry expertise to offer a tailored solution. Here’s how we provided an advantageous solution for our client:

1.     Cost Optimization: By implementing efficient packing strategies, we reduced costs irrespective the shipment’s high volume. We evaluated multiple transportation routes and selected the most economical option, ensuring adherence to the client’s timelines and budget. This strategic planning led to a significant reduction in transportation expenses.

2.      Seamless Coordination: To ensure smooth operations, we closely coordinated with our intra-offices (FSL Qatar and FSL India), as well as the shipper and consignee, keeping everyone loop to prevent any loss of information due to time-sensitive targets. This required detailed planning for both loading and unloading using specialized equipment, ensuring 100% cargo safety and error-free handling.

3.      Customs ClearanceOur team of experts handled all customs clearance procedures efficiently, ensuring compliance with both Indian and Qatar regulations. This eliminated any potential bottlenecks at the border and facilitated a swift transit.

Thanks to our cost-effective and reliable logistics solution, the client successfully received shipment on time and within budget. The streamlined process not only enhanced their operational efficiency but also strengthened their trust in Freight Systems as a dependable logistics partner.
