Impact of the transporter strike on supply chain operations

Freight Systems has a policy to always keep its customers abreast of any changes that may impact on our services. We would like to bring to your attention about the ongoing transporter strike in India affecting transportation services.

Truck drivers across India are protesting the new provision of hit-and-run under Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita. As a result, all transport activities have come to a standstill, and this standstill is expected to persist till the law is withdrawn. Furthermore, the movement between terminals to CFS and CFS to terminals has also halted at the Nhava Sheva port.

While legal discussions are ongoing, we anticipate potential delays in deliveries, disruptions in the transportation of shipments, and the possibility of shortages for certain goods. Additionally, there may be a sudden increase in transport rates due to heightened demand for cargo once the strike is called off.

Our team is actively monitoring the situation and working closely with our transportation partners to minimize any potential disruptions. We will continue to share updates with you as soon as more information is available. Please feel free to reach out to our customer service or sales team if you need any further assistance related to this. Please write to us at info@freightsystems.com.

We appreciate your ongoing support and understanding as we navigate through these challenges.

Kind Regards,

Your Freight Systems Team
